In 2016 our school took on the arduous task of achieving the Active Flag.
This prestigious flag is renowned for being hard to obtain due to the strict rules and high expectations of the governing body.
Our school were up for the difficult task. Our dedicated staff organised active events during Wellness week, dances and activities during Operation Transformation, cycles through Galway city during Bike Week, updated our healthy eating policy, encouraged healthy lunches and updated our PE equipment room and PE equipment.
Finally on our first ever attempt, in the Spring of 2016, St. Pat’s were awarded the prestigious Active Flag Award. This flag is still raised proudly over our school.
